LiveProfessor 1.1 Beta5

Why all these Beta versions?

This is to get more changes in to the 1.1 release and because of some bugs reported by users since Beta4.
We’re not marking the 1.1 version as a release until all the Beta testers/users are happy and have stable systems, until then it will be flagged as Beta.

Changes worth noting:

  • Bug when dragging items to the cue lists after deleting cue actions.
  • Miksebord caused error messages when you drag things over the plugin-UI
  • Plugin categories: Not possible to have on plugin in a category, added option to delete categories and removed a bug where it was possible to create categories with out a name.
  • Cue lists/LiveProfessor use less resources now. it was not possible to create more then about 80 cue lists when the system would get unstable . Should be fine to add about 200 now. If you need more then 200 cue lists, email me…
  • Fixed a bug with the Maximize to Full screen option
  • The options to reverse a controller assignment did not work when Transformation was active.

Please test this:

One of our users have had problems with audio input in these latest beta versions (1.1) Could you guys confirm if this is actually a issue or just a isolated case? The bug is that there is no audio input only Noise/Distortion/General craziness.
To check it out, route a live input to the input of a plugin and check that the audio is as expected.

We got a new company name!

It was way overdue. Since day one the company has shared name with our first product, ifoundasound. With the addition of new software and not to mention the release of LiveProfessor it has become a bit confusing. So from now on we are called audioström. and ifoundasound is the name of the audio database software.

Naturally this means that the website has a new address, audiostrom.com, but ifoundasound.com still works like before, and we are using LiveProfessor.net for anything directly LiveProfessor related.

It will take some time for the new name to gets replaced everywhere, but now you know what it is all about when it starts popping up here and there.

LiveProfessor 1.1 Beta 4 adds 64Bit support

Yes! Available for download now is a brand new version of LiveProfessor, version 1.1

It is in Beta at the moment since there are so many changes to the underlying frame-work.
It is stable on our test machines, but I don't want to release it before some of the real world users have taken it for a spin.

Also for the first time there is a 64bit version available. Please test that one, but note that as in many other hosts you can't run 32bit plugins in the 64 bit version unless you use something like jBridge. (Simply installing it should be enough)

Please send an email or post in the forum if you have any issues.

LiveProfessor version 1.0.2 is out

This release focuses on some bug fixes, but what is more exiting is that I have decided to include the Miksebord plugin in the pro version. In addition, the limits on the free version have been raised a bit.

LiveProfessor 1.0

Yes!
It has taken some time,I’ve been working on this since 2009. There was just so many great ideas and features to add that the release got pushed on and on.
Now I have put the foot down and marked the latest build as 1.0.0.0
So what does this mean?
The 1.0 version is more or less the same as the latest Beta with some minor changes.
But there are now now no more time limited betas, instead two downloads Full and Free.
You can compare them here

There is a 100 day trial period on the full version, please use it to evaluate the program and make sure it runs fine on your system before buying.

When new features or other changes get added a beta will be released on the web site (and sent to the persons who needed the change or found the bug) then when we are sure it is ok it will make it in to the official version.

LiveProfessor Beta 2.4.2

Updated LiveProfessor to Beta 2.4.2
The changes are mainly bugfixes:

Fix: Changed the way plugins are scanned for in the plugin manager. It should now be more stable. Created a work around for waves plugins that where leaking memory, potentially causing a “Out of resources” error and crash.
Fix: Instability when triggering cues containing a workspace change via individual midi triggers.
Fix: Resizing program window no longer hides Navigator, Global snapshots window, etc
Fix: Midimute could cause hang on sustain pedal
Fix: Deactivating IO on FireFace 400 (and probably some others) where not saved properly.
Change: Tap-Tempo now times out after a given set of seconds. Tapping four times sets the tempo tapping 2 or 6 times sets the tempo after the time out.
Fix: Delete cue list did not refresh the cuelist panel sometimes.
Change: Look for new plugins on startup feature has been removed.
Fix: Access violations in plugin editor.
Fix: Error messages when typing numbers in to “spin-edits” (the text boxes with buttons next to them)
New: You can now change the incoming MIDI channel before sending it to the plugin.

LiveProfessor UserVoice

Users have been sending requests for improvements or new features in a steady flow since Alpha 1. This is great but it became hard to keep track of all these ideas spread around the forum (maybe as a side note on a different topic) and via email.

That is why I have moved all this to a new system.

You can add your ideas and suggestions hassle free (no need to register or anything) .

The great thing is that you can see if someone else has already submited your idea, if they have you can vote it up.

Voting ideas up help me prioritize what to do when but remember that it is not a road map though, I might implement a feature with less votes then another simply because it is quick  and easy to do (or fun).

So please use this new system from now on, you can still send me ideas via email, but I’ll post them on uservoice anyway.
