license file vs license code

Hi Forum,

I just restarted to use live professor again after a few years and noticed my lifetime activation code cannot be used to activate live professor. It asks me for the license file.
has this been changed lately?

LiveProfessor 1 used license codes and LiveProfessor 2 uses license files
Had to change the copy protection when going dual platform win/mac
In the downloads section there are still downloads for version 1:

if you scroll down.
Version 2 is a payed upgrade.
One thing to be aware of when/if upgrading is that old shows can't be imported to version 2, due to big changes in structure and plugin compatibility etc.

Short question:
I still didn't upgrade to LP2 due to I have too much Gigs right now and don't want to get in trouble.
I know now that I can't use my old LP1 setups in LP2. Ok.
Question ist ...... can I install LP1 and LP2 side by side and LP1 is still usable ?
I just wanna make sure that I then can still play Gigs with LP1 by still not having LP2 ready to use.

Yes this is no problem, as they are totally different applications.
So you would use version 1 for your existing projects, and new projects can be made in v2
